Students attending the event will spend three hours with the academy, rotating through hour-long sessions in Comedy & Drama, Musical Theatre and Film & Television. The academy's specialist modules are packed full of tips that Pauline has learnt from an incredible 50 years in the business, helping to teach students everything they'll need to know to act, sing, dance or direct like a professional.

By working with people, the Pauline Quirke Academy believes are outstanding in their field, they aim to provide each of their students with a constantly evolving experience- something that is fresh, exciting and bang up-to-date.

About The Pauline Quirke Academy

PQA believe in rewarding and inspiring their students, so along with regular reports to monitor their progress, all students are offered group exams through Trinity College London - at no additional charge to parents. Students also get the chance to see their short film projects on the big screen of their local cinema, where they get to walk down the red-carpet just like the Hollywood stars. Students also have the opportunity to take part in one of the annual PQA shows in the West End.

For those students who want the chance to work professionally there is the opportunity to join Quirky Kidz Creative Management (QK) – an agency that exclusively represents PQA students.

QK clients have won parts in many high-profile projects including Charlie & The Chocolate Factory (West End); EastEnders (BBC); Game of Thrones (HBO) and the smash-hit feature film Les Misérables.

James Aconley, Principal of PQA Scarborough said “I am delighted to provide young people in the area with such a unique performing arts experience. We teach a comprehensive range of skills, which are useful for everyday life, not just a career in the performing arts. I am so excited to see what the future brings and want to thank everyone for their support. We look forward to welcoming you along for a free taster session!”
