Local Radio Day 2018

At Yorkshire Coast Radio we truly believe that local radio is more important than ever before and are both dedicated and proud to be serving the Yorkshire Coast.

We believe when it is done properly, with the right funding, the right people and the right motives local radio can help change the lives of our amazing listeners and make a real and lasting impact to the Yorkshire Coast, its economy, and its people.

Yorkshire Coast Radio loves being able to support local people, events, charities and businesses, as well as keeping you up to date with the things that really matter to you and your daily life. So we're getting involved with Local radio day on Friday 25th May to celebrate what a local radio station can really do.

During Local Radio Day we'll be fundraising for three local good causes. Paddy in the Morning & newsreader Jon Burke will be tied together doing a three-leg three-legged walk!

The first leg is in Bridlington between 10 and 11am, the second leg is in Scarborough between 12.30 and 1.30pm and the final leg is in Whitby between 3 and 4pm.

You can see the routes and the charities benefiting below. We’ll be broadcasting live on location all day and you can join Paddy & Jon along the route to lend your support!
