Get Into Teaching With Scarborough Teaching Alliance

Scarborough Teaching Alliance

Train to teach in Scarborough schools & be the inspiration a child needs....

Have you thought about a career in teaching?

If you or someone you know are thinking about a career in teaching then look no further than the School Direct programme offered by The Scarborough Teaching Alliance

School Direct is an exciting, hands on, school-led training programme giving graduate trainees the opportunity to learn from experienced practitioners in schools.

This is a full-time, one-year course, during which students will complete academic assignments, gain subject knowledge and apply their understanding of child development in class, leading to a PGCE with QTS.

School Direct offers the same academic rigor as university-led courses and students may be eligible for a training bursary and can apply for the same financial support, such as student loans.

Starting in September 2018 you could be training for an exciting new career in teaching.  Offering Lower Primary (3-7), Upper Primary (5-11) and Secondary (11-16)  – Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, Biology, Design & Technology, English & PE and other subjects may be available

Scarborough Teaching Alliance is led by the OUTSTANDING Childhaven Community Nursery School and offers a unique opportunity to train as a teacher on a truly collaborative programme involving Scarborough town centre and neighbouring village schools.
