How old do you need to be to go on the Aqua park?

The minimum age is six years old and minimum height 1.2m. Children aged between 6yrs and 12yrs of age inclusive MUST be accompanied by a responsible adult on the AquaPark at all times. An adult is someone aged 18 years and over. One adult to three children minimum ratio. Children aged 13yrs to 17yrs, inclusive, may enjoy the AquaPark on their own as long as a responsible adult is on site at all times.

Do I need to be able to swim

Yes- you need to be able to swim 50m in a buoyancy aid and be confident in the water. You will need to swim to get to the Aqua Park.

Do children need adult supervision?

Yes - Children need to be accompanied by a responsible adult. One adult to three children minimum ratio. A child is someone who is under the age of 18 years. Children 13 years and over may go on the Aqua Park without adult supervision in the water however an adult needs to be on site.

How do I book?

Bookings are taken via the website online booking system. If you would like to book a group or a time is unavailable, please call us and we will try to help.

Can I book for more than one session in the day?

Yes - you will need to book online for further sessions if they are available.

Do I have to pay to watch?

If you are attending with people who are using the AquaPark you can watch and there is no charge for this.

Do I have to wear a wetsuit, buoyancy aid and helmet?

Yes- Westuits, buoyancy aids and helmets are provided free of charge as part of your booking and must be worn at all times for your safety and comfort. If you have your own wetsuit you are welcome to wear it.

I wear glasses, can I wear them during the session?

No. You cannot wear spectacles on the Aqua Park. We recommend prescription goggles as a good alternative.

Can I wear shoes?

We do not allow trainers or hard soled footwear. Bare feet are fine on our obstacles or if you like you can bring wetsuit boots.

Must I remove all of my jewellery?

Yes - All jewellery must be removed before entering the Aqua Park. This includes removable earrings. If you have recently had a piercing you will need to tape over your piercings.

Do I have to be physically fit?

The AquaPark can be physically demanding as you will be climbing and pulling yourself out of the water on to the obstacles. If you are generally fit and active you will be fine.

Can I participate if I'm pregnant?

We strongly recommend you do not use the Aqua Park if you are pregnant or if there is any possibility that you might be.

 What if I have a medical condition?

If you have any medical conditions you should check with your doctor to check that you are fit enough to take part. All medical equipment such as inhalers/insulin etc must be left at the first aid station, by the launch area. If you have already booked but provide a doctor's note explaining you are unable to participate we will refund you for your ticket.

What if it is raining or bad weather?

If it's raining the session will still take place. Well you get wet anyway! On occasions when there is extreme wind or stormy weather we will pause the sessions and resume where possible.

Can I use my own waterproof camera on the AquaPark?

Yes - but these items must be secured on your bouyancy aid and NOT helmet mounted or hand held. North Yorkshire Water Park take no responsibilty for your items getting damaged or lost.

Is there parking?

Yes - there is parking at the Watersports lake with additional over flow parking if required still within the North Yorkshire Water Park

Do you have changing and toilet facilities?

Yes- We have changing, showers and toilets, however these are basic facilities so please don't expect too much. We do ensure that all our facilities are kept clean at all times. We have exciting plans for a new development - watch this space!

Where can I leave my valuables?

We have small personal effect lockers for your use. We advise locking your items in your car then locking the keys in a locker.

Are dogs allowed on site?

Yes - North Yorkshire Water Park allow dogs but they must be kept under control and on a lead at all times. Owners must clear up after their dog and use the bins provided.
