Pearl of Africa Children's ChoirThe Pearl of Africa Children's Choir are touring the Yorkshire Coast's schools this week, involving the local pupils in singing, dancing and drumming workshops, as well as performing a couple of public concerts.

The Choir is made up of 9 to 18 year old Ugandan children who perform concerts and workshops in the UK each year to help raise awareness and funds to sustain and improve the standard of education in their schools.

We spoke to some of the choir members and hear them perform.


The choir are at a number of schools this week running workshops during the day, if you want to see them perform in public then they have a number of performances this week..

Tuesday at Scalby School at 7pm

Wednesday they are at the SJT at 7pm, tickets from box office.

Thursday its Northstead Primary at 6:30

And Friday Queen Street Methodist church at 7pm
