Scarborough TEC is described as a 'new vision' for Yorkshire Coast College.
Built on the idea of Training, Education and Careers the new college will open it's doors in September 2017.
Scarborough TEC's plan is to improve services to students and increase their opportunity to study programmes that are directly related to current and future labour market needs thereby supporting the regions vocational and technical skills requirements and the local economy.
The college are holding an Information Event on Saturday 21st January from 1030-1200.

Nestled away in the picturesque village of Thornton Le Dale is the Hall Residential Care Home.
This December they are putting on a special Christmas dinner event, not just for their residents but for the whole village.

Do you receive the government's Winter Fuel Payment but feel you don't really need it?
The 2016 Winter Fuel Appeal is an initiative run by Scarborough Lions Club alongside Yorkshire Coast Homes and District Citizens Advice Bureau.
The idea is for people who do not necessarily need their Winter Fuel Payment to donate it to those who do, whether it be for families in need or those out of work so they can pay their fuel bills.
The appeal started last year and proved successful, raising £2000.
Rob Hunter is the former President of Scarborough Lions he talks about this years appeal.
