THE QUIET STORM

The Moors National Park Centre, Lodge Lane, Danby, Whitby

David Wilkinson's work reflects the spectacular, ever changing light and atmosphere of the North York Moors, inspired by the quality of light, dramatic skies and colour. Admission is FREE

 

  SEASONS ON THE MOORS

The Moors National Park Centre, Lodge Lane, Danby, Whitby

10.00am-5.00pm

A selection of paintings by Janet Basten in various media, depicting the changing landscape through the seasons on the North York Moors. Admission is FREE.  

 

RELIGIOUS SOCIETY OF FRIENDS MEETING

Friends Meeting House, Quaker Close, Scarborough

The Religious Society of Friends meets regularly for worship every week and is open to all members of the public.

 

  MORNING DANCES

   SMOKING COASTS & ICE-BOUND SEAS

Captain Cook Memorial Museum, Whitby

11.00am-3.00pm

With original pictures drawn at the time, and loans from several major museums, we explore the surprising story of this little known part of Cook's voyages. The exhibition is supported by the Heritage Lottery Fund. Admission is £4 adults, £3.50 seniors, £3 children and £10.50 for a family.
