Roadworks Coming to Scarborough

Traffic Light Yorkshire Coast College

11:07am 11th January 2017

Drivers in Scarborough are being warned of potential traffic delays on Seamer Road from this Friday.

It's as work's done to the entrance of the new Lidl store..

A spokesperson for Lidl said:

"We can confirm that one lane of Seamer Road (approximately 100m) near the proposed access to the new Lidl store will be closed for the next four weeks. Traffic will be directed by temporary traffic lights which will operate 24 hrs/day, 7 days/week for the duration of the lane closure. The lights will be manually operated throughout the day to achieve maximum traffic flow and revert to automatic operation in the evening.

The purpose of the lights is to provide a safe work area for the operatives whilst maintaining a safe passage through for pedestrians".
