
Yorkshire Coast Radio's Local Hero Awards, in association with Stoneacre Ford will take place at The Royal Hotel, Scarborough on Friday 20th April 2012.
It's an opportunity to recognise the area's unsung heroes. We are looking for your nominations in 7 categories...
The Customer Service Award, sponsored by Boyes Stores, will honour someone who has shown exceptional customer service within their work, and gone the extra mile.
The Teacher of the Year Award, sponsored by Raven Hall will honour someone who has demonstrated commitment and inspiration to those they teach, both inside and outside of the classroom.
The Make a Difference in the Community Award, sponsored by Pagan & McQuade Opticians, will honour someone who has shown great commitment to the area within which they live.
The Child of Achievement Award. sponsored by Yorkshire Coast College, will honour someone who has demonstrated exceptional courage or excelled in sport, education or performing arts.
The Bravery Award, sponsored by April Florist, will honour someone who has shown exceptional courage through personal illness or by helping others.
The Sports Star of the Year Award, sponsored by Scarborough Indoor Karting, will honour someone who has excelled in their chosen sports and shows great promise for the future.
The Parent/Guardian of the Year Award, sponsored by Celebrate, will honour someone who has guided, advised and helped their own or other people's children.
The closing date for entries is Sunday 18th March 2012. The finalists will be announced on Wednesday 28th March 2012. The winners will be announced at a glittering awards ceremony at The Royal Hotel Scarborough on Friday 20th April 2012.
