Surplus funds from the 2013 Walk held on 1st April amounted to £1650 were donated to Ellie's Fund Brain Tumour Trust by walk organisers Jim Sloan and Nags Head Landlady Victoria Wilkinson. Jim Sloan said "this is a very worthy charity and this donation will go a long way to help them with their research. We were delighted to help them". Read more...

Scalby Fair Week starts 16th June 2013 and runs till Saturday 22nd June. There are different events every day including family treasure hunt/wine tasting/live bands/flower displays and of course the Fair day itself on Saturday 22nd this is a very large street fair in Scalby Village which provides fun for all the family. Come & Try It 5 miles cycling time trial series
16th May 2013, 12:00 amuntil 11th July 2013, 12:00 am.
This is a free event series hosted by Scarborough Paragon Cycling Club for juveniles aged 12-15yrs inclusive or £2 per rider (to cover insurance) for riders 16yrs+. Any roadworthy bike will do, no club membership necessary for this series of fortnightly races based on a circuit from Scalby to Burniston, HQ based at the Rugby Club car park.
