
Roadworks in Bridlington to Make Roads Safer

A set of roadworks are due to start in Bridlington today after a series of collisions.
Road humps are being fitted to Richmond Street and West Street from this morning and will mean a week of disruption.
Both roads will be closed and a diversion is in place, when they re-open the speed limit will also be cut to 20 miles an hour.
It's after a series of crashes where people were injured, 46% of those hurt were pedestrians.
When people living in the area were asked about the traffic calming measures 95% were in favour of the plans. Read more...
Moves to Boost Bridlington Economy Discussed

Ways to boost the economy in Bridlington will be discussed later.
East Riding of Yorkshire Council will reveal how they want the economy in the county to develop over the next four years.
Councillor Richard Burton wrote the report and says Bridlington will need to build on its strengths. Read more...
Bridlington Police Say Six Fires in Six Days 'Could Be Linked'

After six fires in six days police in Bridlington say some of them could be linked.
Last night a wheelie bin on fire was pushed up against the front door of a flat on Quay Road.
